The bridge over the river Yuribey on the Yamal Peninsula with its length of 4 km is one of the longest bridges in Russia. It was opened in June 2009. The total mass of the bridge is more than 30,000 tons. Projected lifespan is 100 years. The bridge over the Yuribey was built in record time of 349 days. The main feature of the construction is that it is built with the help of special technologies that do not harm the ecosystem of the river. In order to ensure the sustainability of the supports, the boreholes in the permafrost were drilled in depth of 20-40 meters. The opening of the bridge allowed the development of Bovanenkovo oil and gas condensate field.
